FAMILY PARTICIPATION
Service Hours: Family participation is required in order to build and support our school community by reducing community costs. Families are requested to serve 20 hours of their time per year, per family. Volunteering and committee participation are available to meet these requirements.
Fundraising: Families are asked to participate in community fundraisers. Participation may include donations, soliciting sponsorships, and general financial support. Fundraising is an integral part of the Coastal Community School budget. The school operates independent of government funding or subsidies. Coastal Community School is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) and donations are tax-deductible.

Due to our part-time private school status (3 days on campus/2 days home instruction), we are not eligible for FTC/FES-EO scholarships offered through Step Up for Students as this requires a full-time private status. However, we are working to learn about our eligibility for the new FTC-PEP program and we are excited to see how our Coastal families can benefit from HB-1 as we learn more about it.
