FAMILY PARTICIPATION Service Hours: Family participation is required in order to build and support our school community by reducing community costs. Families are requested to serve 20 hours of their time per year, per family. Parent partner days, volunteering, and committee participation are available to meet these requirements. Hours must be logged by May 30. Fundraising: Families are asked to participate in community fundraisers. Participation may include donations, soliciting sponsorships, and general financial support. Fundraising is an integral part of the Coastal Community School budget. Our tuition alone does not cover all of our expenses. The school operates independent of government funding or subsidies. In order to keep tuition at a level affordable for single-income families and still deliver an excellent program, our school relies on fundraising and contributions. At a minimum, a $500 contribution by each family is critical to current and future programs at our school. Coastal Community School is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) and donations are tax-deductible.
